Holiday Break for Free

Planning short breaks over summer weekends? What to do last minute,
with worries about the weather and traffic. Why not make a local visit?

May we suggest you follow the footsteps of many famous people and visit
Rougham Airfield. The restored Grade 11 Control Tower houses a major
Museum filled with artefacts and information covering the period during
World War 11 when 3,000 American service personnel were stationed here.
Famous visitors included Generals Montgomery and De Gaulle and entertainers Bob Hope, Francis Langford, Clarke Gable and the Glen Miller Band, who played in No.1 Hanger for the 200th Bomb Mission Party.

Do not worry if you have visited before, the exhibits are constantly changing and we doubt if you can see everything on one visit. New items are always arriving such as the recent additions from The Swan Hotel, Lavenham.

Best of all – entry is free!
Open 11.0-4.0 each Sunday until the end of October.
